Revenue of 2004 is NT$131.3 billion, NT$49.8 billion increased from 2003. Notebook PC is NT$94.2 billion and Server is NT$37.1 billion.

Long term investment

Since 2000, Inventec has successfully spun off business divisions into independent companies for different products and customers and has been rewarded with satisfactory investment returns and risk reduction.
Inventec Appliances Corp. stands out as the top mobile phone supplier with the brand of OKWAP in Taiwan. Inventec Appliances perseveres to strive for growing in China and with ODM customers.
Inventec Multimedia & Telecom Corp., manufacturers of communication and multi-media products, has started volume shipment of USB flash drive to world famous customers.
Inventec Besta Co., Ltd. continues to launch innovative electronic dictionaries. Besta also strengthens the development of software applications and is looking to a more prosperous business.
Inventec Micro-Electronics Corp., with high-precision manufacturing equipment, is aggressively promoting photo-electronics modules (CMOS sensor, CCD sensor etc). High growth is expected.
Besides, Inventec Corp. has set up global logistics service network which provides manufacture and service support in Scotland and U.S.A. A new server factory in Czech has been approved. The latest deployment in Shanghai has been completed for sharing manufacturing loads, which has further strengthened the global operation.
Equity investment income in 2002 of Inventec Corp. is NT$740 million which 41.56% higher than last year. Inventec’s strategy of spinning off business divisions into independent companies has paid off.

R & D Status

Inventec Corp.'s R & D expenditure in 2002 is NT$950 million. Inventec has proven our design capability by successfully developed a new model of notebook PC within 3 months. Not only Inventec has superior manufacturing, but also creativity and competitiveness.
