Founded in 1975, Inventec has enjoyed a leading reputation in Taiwanˇ¦s electronics and technology
industries. Starting out from the manufacturing of electronic calculators, Inventec took its first step into overseas production when it invested in a manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia in 1990. Shortly thereafter, the group successively expanded its overseas operation bases into the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and other countries. In the meantime, Inventec invested
heavily in software development with locally recruited employees in Shanghai (1991), Nanjing, Tianjin, Beijing (1993), and Xian (1994).

Starting in 1999 Inventec
established four additional subsidiaries. These
include: Inventec Appliances
Corporation, focused on designing, manufacturing,
and selling smart handheld products; Inventec
Multimedia and Telecom Corporation, focused on digital
audio telecommunications and multimedia
networking products; Inventec Besta Corporation,
focused on electronic dictionaries and translators;
and Inventec Micro-Electronics Corporation, focused
on designing and manufacturing optical
modules. From the development of software and hardware
to manufacturing and product logistics,
Inventec Group offers its worldwide customers the
most comprehensive and round-the-clock service.
